Roof Rack Paint Peeling

Hello everyone new member. Just bought a 99 sr5 4runner and the paint is totally faded and peeling off my roof rack. My toyota no paint problems and no roof rack problems. 2011 nissan rogue sl 2012 nissan rogue sl 2012 honda cr v lx.

I am experiencing paint peeling on the silver roof rack posts on the rogue. Just bought a used cpo x5 and while drying the roof standing on running boards i saw the paint peeling. Plus the roof racks are not holding up with paint or waht ever they are made of. Thus it began to develop a little rust.

It looks like the honda had a type of bed liner type paint on the roof rack. Kia motors kia sorrento peeling paint bad case of kiapox. Peeling due to moisture inside loss of adhesion of the interior paint caused by high levels of moisture. Jump to latest follow 1 5 of 5 posts.

It was the paint on the underside of the four mounting points. I was thinking of painting it with high temp bbq or engine type paint but then had a thought after washing my wifes honda pilot. Of course 3 year warranty sad she has taken back to kia in jacksonville but of course too late. Flaking and peeling of a coating applied to concrete flooring.

Has anyone experienced this. I just noticed recently that the silver paint on the roof rail of my 14 nissan rogue peeling off. Discussion starter 1 dec 4 2012. I have it in the shop as my low oil level light came on after vanos recall 2 weeks ago.

I have never even used the roof rails at all yet the paint is peeling. The outer basket paint began to peel which isnt that big of a deal since it only catches grease.
